Depending on your product, speed and container, Frain engineering specializes in getting to know your, process, product and production requirements in order to optimize the right case packer for you.  Cases come as slotted corrugated, knocked-down, opened, closed, RSC, CSSC, OSC, tablock, special, gaylord, bliss, open top, tray, over wrapped tray, and more. There are top load, side load, bottom up, case erectors, tray erectors, wrap-around, roll through as well as unloading casers.  Casers may be automatic or semi-automatic and have many ways of accumulating and patterning product. Additionally cases may be closed with tape, glue or tuck.  Frain can also integrate 3rd party equipment such as checkweighers, case labeling, readers, machine vision, palletizers and shrink wrappers.  A variety of inserters, coders and printers may also be added as necessary.
We offer both Robotic case packers, conventional packers.to load most any product into most any case style. RSC, FOL/POL, HSC, tray, wrap-around, display and other case types can be custom accommodated . Bliss boxes are created with a solid piece of containerboard that is formed to create the front, back, and bottom of the box. A bliss box case erector then inserts two additional pieces of containerboard to form the sides of the case. The two addition pieces are seal to flaps on the main portion of the case using hot melt glue. Producers demand efficient and reliable non-stop production in wet or dry environments. Case size range: 8" to 24" in Length x 6" to 16" in Width x 5" to 18" in Height. Equipped with easy load, blank case magazine, suction cup pic-n-place, minor and major flap closers, servo driven pusher bar, vacuum system, 2" tape head, hand crank no-tool adjustments, safety guarding, 12" wide x 196" long Intralox product conveyor running parallel to 12" wide x 96" long case conveyor to Model TBF, automatic, uniform, top flap closer, tape sealer. Equipped with 72" long x 3" wide dual side belt conveyor, automatic top flap closer, major / minor flap plows, 2" top tape head.

Arpac, Model PC3500, Automatic, continous motion, 6-axis, servo driven, wrap-around case packer. Rated 10 to 35 caes per minute – depending materials, application and machines configuration. Product size range: 4¾" to 13½" Long x 7¼" to 20" Wide x 4" to 15¾" High. Tray height: 1½" to 8½". Equipped with product in feed laner and automatic blank case magazines, recpicating blank carton pick and place and has (4) chains adjustable with single load bar, servo drives and with Nordson ProBlue hot melt glue system, flap closers and wrap over case station. Control panel has A/B PLC and A/B panel view with touch screen controller with e-stop and statis light bar, with Seko gauges and interlock safety door guarding. Mounted on heavy duty formed and structural tubular steel frame.

Arpac Model EL2111, automatic, intermittent motion, tray erector / packer / hot melt sealer rated from 5 to 25 trays per minute – depending on material and application. Tray size: Per application. Equipped with 128" long x 19" wide flexlink product in feed conveyor, with lane spacers and side guards, 48" long (2) chain automatic blank tray magazine, with single arm reciprocating pic n place, collation area with product stop, dead plate, product hold down with single over head product ram loader, 4 chain adjustable indexing conveyor set on 24" centers, with 3" wide x 5" high lugs, Nordson hot melt glue system with tray setup / squaring assembly and compression section. Control panel has A/B, controls with Arpac touch pad controller and panel view, interlocking safety guarding and statis light bar. Arpac roller conveyor upstacker. Equipped with 60" long slip torque roller in feed conveyor with 21" wide x 1¼" OD rollers and 58" long x 21" wide upstack section with pneumatic closing fingers upstacker capable of stacking trays or cases up to 14½" high.

RPM Robotic Packaging, Model TL4, Compact, robotic top loading carton loader, inspects, collates and loads wrapped or bagged products into cartons cases or flighted infeeds. Rated up to 450 products or 60 cases or cartons per minute – depending on materials and application. Maximum case size: 30" in Length; 11" in Width; 14" in Height. Product infeed accepts randomly spaced product and rejects them if they are out of specification. Servo-driven collator indexes on demand and cantilevered design allows the TL4 to be incorporated into existing packaging lines without modifying conveyors and has proprietary RPM-designed (2) axis robot with 20-pound payload and Tool-less changeover in a matter of minutes. Control panel has start, stop, reset and brake release push button controls with e-stop and has HMI display and statis light bar. Mounted on heavy duty frame with safety guarding.

Fully automatic case erector / packer / glue sealer capable of 5 to 25 cases per minute The product accumulator runs parallel to the case erector with a right angle air cylinder transfer for a single layer of product and features a 148"L infeed conveyor, and a 13"L by 19"W product transfer station. The wrap around case erector 80"L magazine with hand crank adjustments,Nordson hot melt, glue controllers, amber strobe light for non-shutdown conditions, red strobe light for shutdown conditions, blue strobe light for low materials, 21" centers, hand cranks and indicator scales for carton size adjustments, Machine equipped with an Allen Bradley PLC programmable, and 5/8" thick clear lexan guarding with electrical interlocks.
OPTION: Product up ender, an APV Douglas 1:6 servo lane divider, a six lane product accumulator, and a wrap around case erector with hot melt glue seals. The product up ender features a 4 1/2"W bottom conveyor and a 7 1/2"W side conveyor, to upend product. Lane divider features servo driven side conveyor belts to divide product into up to six lanes.

Pearson Model P3103, Automatic drop packer capable of speeds from 5 to 30 cpm – speeds depending on materials, application and machine configuration. All bottles can be packed in either a "neck up or "neck down" configuration.
