Bag in box machines are related to the production of bag-in-box products. Bag-in-box packaging is packaging where liquids, pastes, or solids are contained in a bag, which is itself contained within a box or case. Bag in box equipment includes machines to insert the bag in the box (either forming the bag as it inserts it in the box or using a pre-formed bag), machines to fill the bag in the box, and machines to seal the bag within the box. Machines for sealing a bag in a box are referred to as un-cuffers because to seal the bag within the box first requires un-cuffing the top of the bag from around the top of the box or case.
