Side load case packers are designed to load product into the case on its side, that has case openings are in the same horizontal plane. Product incoming to a side load case packer is in the same horizontal plane as the case openings. The product is pushed sideways into the case to fill or pack the case. Side load case packers can be designed with automatic or semi-automatic operation. Often, side load case packers are designed to accumulate or collate incoming product. Even semi-automatic side load case packers can be designed with an accumulation or collation section.

Automatic side load case packers are designed to erect a case from a pre-scored corrugated blank and to load the case automatically. Semi-automatic side load case packers require an operator to place an erected and bottom sealed case onto a product loading horn. The semi-automatic side load case packer will load or push product into the case and lower the case. The lowering operation on a semi-automatic side load case packer up-ends the case so that the open end of the case is vertically up.

Hartness Global Pack Model 3500, 6 station rotary, continuous motion, zero impact, case packer rated from 20 to 35 cases per minute, with number of containers - depending on materials, application and pack pattern. Can handle most containers glass, plastic, round and non round from 10 ounces to 2-1/2 gallons and place into corrugated, tab lock, RSC, or plastic cases. Equipped with (4) 44" long x 3" wide to (1)108" long x 18" to (1) 24" long x 18" wide plastic in feed conveyors with (4) product lane dividers, product overhead orientor and lugged walking beam feeder into 6 head rotary gripper system with grids and gripper fingers to capture containers and ensure perfect alignment of containers every time for zero breakage while desending into the cases. Control panel has A/B controls and A/B swing arm panel view controller with machine start, stop, reset, e-stop buttons, statis light bar and safety guarding.
