Liquefiers are liquid mixers that are designed to mix solids and semi-solids into a liquid. Liquefiers use agitation of a liquid to dissolve solids or semi-solids into solution. To properly dissolve solids and semi-solids into liquids, liquefiers are to create the largest amount of turbulence within the liquid mixture within the liquefier. Liquefiers are often designed with a rectangular shaper to reduce the vortex effect of the liquid. Circular liquefiers are designed with baffles to prevent the liquid mass from creating a vortex within the liquefier. Some liquefiers are designed with side scrape to sweep the sides of a circular liquefier and return the product from the side of the liquefier to the mixture.
