Full case palletizers are designed to take in full cases of product and to place these cases of product onto a pallet. Full case palletizers are designed to create multiple layers of cases on the pallet. Full case palletizers can be either low-level or high-level palletizers. Full case palletizer can also be designed with options such as automatic pallet dispensers or automatic slip-sheet feeders. (These options are usually stand alone modules that can be added to the basic palletizer.) Slip-sheets are used to separate layers of full cases. (Normally cases are stable enough not to necessitate slip sheets.)

High-level palletizers take in full cases at a high level. The cases are collated to form a complete pallet layer and are transferred onto the top of the pallet. The high-level palletizer then lowers the pallet to ready the pallet for the next layer of full cases. Low-level palletizers, or floor-level palletizers, are designed to take in full cases at floor level. The cases are oriented to form a single layer. The single layer of cases is then raised to the top of the pallet and transferred onto the top of the pallet.
