A hydraulic pump is a system using an electric motor for developing the hydraulic pressure to operate hydraulic motors for driving various pieces of equipment. Hydraulic pumps are usually equipped with a reservoir and heat exchanger for cooling the recirculating liquid. All of the controls are usually included with these pumps to prevent over-pressurization and strainers to remove particulate that can jam valves and damage the pumps.
