Tank Fermentors are tanks and support systems for developing controlling and perpetuating biological reactions and pharmaceutical products. Fermentor tanks are made of stainless steel as well as other specialty materials to support the requisite reactions and assure control of the reaction dynamics and kinetics. Fermentor tank systems can range in size from small pilot R&D systems to full manufacturing capability systems.
New Brunswick, model SF116 316 stainless steel, benchtop sterilize-in-place fermentor with a 7 liter vessel. Features an integral heating system to automatically sterilize the system, quick heat-up and cool-down, two-gas mixing, a sampling port, pH probe, dissolved oxygen probe, a galvanic probe, a polargraphic probe, agitation, sparger, recorder, dissolved oxygen controller, pH controller, and pump module. Equipped with illuminated 2 1/4"W by 11 1/2"H sight glass, 1 1/2" threaded O.D. port, and controls for agitation (on/off), vessel view lamp (on/off) agitation control, temperature set point (on/off), temperature control, sterilization temp control (on/off), main sparger, sparger steam, inlet filter condensate, drain steam, exhaust condensate, rapid cooling, main water, and cooling control. Veseel has a national board number of 158, and a max allowable working pressure of 35psi at 300F.

Abec, 500 liter, 316 stainless steel, bioreactor / fermentor. Has 36" diameter x 36" side wall vessel rated to 40psig @ 280F, dimpled jacket rated at 50psig @ 350F, and S/S control panel with Valley Instrument controls. Vessel has .135" shell / head thickness, 32" head disc radius, shell made of 15 guage 304 S/S, 2 1/4" top sight glass, 2 1/4" side sight glass, side baffles, center bottom propeller agitation powered by Flender 8.31hp drive, urethane insulation, and tank mounted on four load cells with push buttonTranscell weight controller with LED display. Control panel has Seco DC drive controller; E-stop; control modules for air, O2 flow, pO2, speed, pH, and temperature; push button LED display; data recorder; pressure guages for backpressure, steam, air, O2, and cooling; and controls for cooling water, air, sparge, sparge condensate, temperature control steam, jacket steam, vessel backpressure, back pressure condensate, and jacket condensate. Mounted on stainless steel frame with height adjustable legs.

Mounted on 30" long x 24" wide mild steel platform base frame.
