My son recently ran across an interesting bottle and cap combo in the hospital where he practices and he brought me a sample.
The bottle itself is sealed with a heavy gauge aluminum foil. Foil seals can be hard to open and may require use of a knife. This foil is even heavier than normal.
To solve this problem, the top of the cap has a slight lip and a molded in cutting blade. When the inverted cap is placed over the foil and turned, it cuts the foil.
I am glad to see someone thinking. Having see this, I wonder why I didn’t think of it. It seems so obvious. But I didn’t and someone else did. I would salute them or the cap manufacturer by name if I knew who they were. In any event, great job folks. I hope we see more of this.
