The Yes Men of Packaging and Processing

In the movie, The Yes Man, Carl Allen, played by Jim Carrey, transforms his life through personal development program that commits him to say “yes” to every opportunity that is presented to him within one year.

This turns the personal and professional sides of his life upside down, making them both entertainment worthy for audiences of this comedy.

Similar in many ways, Frain has said yes over 25,000 times to taking on machinery and projects that lead us on as many unique journeys.

We haven’t pigeonholed ourselves into one classification of packaging and processing machinery or complete packaging lines by saying “no.”

Of course, by saying yes, we’ve been able to grow from ONE machine in storage to hundreds of brands and categories of machinery and ultimately approximately 9,000 machines.

Upon visiting us, we’ll be able to showcase some of our CPG adventures, including:

  • What we’ve seen succeed once introduced to market
  • What we’ve seen fail once introduced to market
  • How we’ve excelled in bringing ideas to market faster regardless of outcome
  • How we protect our customers with experience, process, and pricing terms

By saying yes, we have a lot of stories, machinery, and experience you can trust.

3 Steps to Successful Equipment Purchase

There is no doubt that our customers value and trust our equipment, integration and other services. They have found that we create meaningful partnerships and experiences, and that is why they return.

New relationships, in contrast, take time and attention in building.  Customer expectations and responses to value-added service have shifted, and Frain is riding this wave.

To better support our clients, we’ve highlighted the major steps in a successful equipment purchase:

  1. You tell us about your project
  2. We review and finalize your quote
  3. Together we arrange final delivery

We want to consistently deliver not only great service, but excellent experiences. Click here to view more details surrounding the Frain Experience.

The Power of Experience

DSCN4339

The story below has been shared popularly across internet and social media, and for good reason. It emphasizes the importance and value of experience. Enjoy reading it and please share!

A ship engine failed, and no one could fix it.
Then they brought in a man with 40 years on the job.
He inspected the engine carefully; top to bottom.
After looking things over, the man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer.
He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life.
The engine was fixed!
7 days later the owners got a bill for $10,000.
‘What?!’ the owners said ‘You hardly did anything. Send us an itemized bill.”
The reply simply said:
“Tapping with a hammer: $2 Knowing where to tap: $9,998”
Don’t ever underestimate experience.

In the packaging and processing industry, there are those that aim at a price or discount on equipment and those that understand true total cost of delays and especially inexperience.

Experience comes at a cost, and although most individuals clearly recognize the difference, they simply do not want to pay the difference…at least not in cash.  In the end, an erroneous perception of cost can lead to a higher loss due to an unforeseen delay in an unusable piece of equipment and plenty of fees that go hand in hand.

Frain’s 40+ mechanics and engineers have over 385 years of packaging and processing equipment experience.  This experience, our people, make the difference for our customers. We know precisely when and where to use hammers.
