Top and bottom case sealers are designed to close the flaps of a case and seal the flaps from that case using glue. Top and bottom case sealers are designed to take in cases with bottom minor flaps closed, apply glue to the flaps, and close the bottom flaps. Top and bottom case sealers are also designed to close the top minor flaps, apply glue to the top flaps, and close the top flaps. Cases being process by top and bottom case sealers are normally filled with product.
Top and bottom case sealers can be designed to automatically adjust to different size cases as the cases enter the top and bottom case sealer. Top and bottom case sealer that adjust automatically to different size cases are known as random top and bottom case sealers. Top and bottom case sealers that require operators to adjust the machine to accommodate different size cases are know as uniform top and bottom case sealers.
