Seamer equipment, also known as can seamers are machines designed to seal a lid to a metal or composite can. A seamer machine creates a continuous seam between the lid and the can, hence the name can seamer.
Seamer machines apply a lid to the can. (A semi-automatic seamer requires an operator to apply the lid to the can, but the seaming portion of the operation is similar to an automatic seamer.)
A rotary seaming head will then grip both the side of the can and the lid. As the seaming head rotates about the can and the lid, the tooling in the seaming head compresses both the lid material and the can material together to form a continuous seam around the can and the lid.
Seamers are tooled to handle a specific can size. The proper tooling needs to be installed to change the size can that will be seamed by a seamer. Output or speed is related to the number of heads on the seamer. The greater the number of heads, the greater the output or speed.

Equipped with disc to star wheel infeed, (4) head product topper, no-can / no-lid, (4) roll, double seam single seaming head and is hand crank height adjustable. Canco Model 08 VAC, Heavy duty, single head, vacuum can seamer rated from 10 to 30 containers per minute – depending on materials and application. Minimum and maximum can size 307 to 603 in Diameter and 214 to 900 in Height. Equipped with disc to star wheel infeed, 3 head product topper, no-can / no-lid, (4) roll, double seam single seaming head and is hand crank height adjustable. Mounted on a heavy duty platform style base.

Continental Can Model 450HCM-8, automatic, continous motion, 8 head can seamer rated from 100 to 600 cans per minute – depending on materials and application. Can size range: 202 to 404 in Diameter x 200 to 708 in Height, with proper change parts. Equipped with lugged chain in feed set on 5-1/4" centers, starwheel discharge, low lid sensor, no can sensor, no lid sensor, jam detection, driven rollers and steam injection. Mounted on common base frame. Change parts required to accommodate size range. Currently set for 208 diameter can.

Angelus 29P, 4-Head seamer rated 50 to 200 cans per minute depending on material and application. Cans: (202 to 404) diameter x (108 to 708)H. Has double star wheel in-feed, lid magazine with low lid detection, star wheel discharge. Last running 401 can.

Angelus 40PR, Automatic, 4-head, rotary, can seamer capable of seaming 100 to 275 cans per minute, depending on materials and application. Cans: (202 to 404) diameter x (108 to 700)H. Has 19"H lid magazine, low lid sensor, starwheel discharge, and on / off push button controls. Last running 401 can.

American Can Model 08, Automatic, heavy duty, single head, atmospheric can seamer rated from 10 to 40 cans per minute – depending on materials and application. Can size range: 307 to 603 in Diameter x 214 to 900 in Height with proper change parts. Equipped with (4) roll, double seam, single seaming head, disc to star wheel in feed, no-can / no-lid, central lubrication system, rapid hand crank height adjustment. Mounted on heavy duty 32" x 36" platform style frame.

Angelus, Model 60L, automatic, 6 head steam flow can seamer rated from 100 to 500 cans per minute – depending on materials, application, OD and height of can being run. Can size range: of 200 to 404 OD x 108 to 712 in Height with proper change parts. Equipped with in line lugged 112" long in feed conveyor and has enclosed steam flow chamber with 6-spindle can turret set on 6" centers. Mounted on heavy duty frame.

Canco Model 422-1E-00, automatic, heavy duty, single head can seamer. Rated from 10 to 90 cans per minute – depending on materials and application Can size range: 202 (2-1/8") to 404 (4-1/4") in Diameter x 113 (1-13/16") to 604 (6-1/4") in Height with proper change parts. Equipped with (4) roll, double seam, single seaming head, star wheel to lugged chain container in feed and hand crank height adjustable, with no-container / no-lid and central lube system. Mounted on 36" x 32" cast iron, pedastal style base with height adjustable leveling screws. Change parts are required to accommodate different can sizes. Currently set for 303 diameter can.

Canco, Model 0-8, automatic, single head can seamer. Rated from 5 to 40 containers per minute – depending on materials, application and machine configuration. Can size range: 307 to 603 in Diameter x 208 to 900 in Height (with proper change parts). Equipped with (4) roll, double seam, single seaming head, 10" high can lid magazine, 32" long lugged chain feed conveyor set on 7½" centers, hand crank adjustable with 3 Hp motor drive and safety guarding. Mounted on 34" x 36" cast iron base frame with leveling screws. Change parts are required to accommodate different can sizes. Currently set for 603 diameter can.
OAD: 60"L x 65"W x 84"H
American Canco Model 006, automatic, single head, atmospheric, can seamer rated from 5 to 60 containers per minute – depending on materials, application and machine configuration. Can size range: 202 to 404 in Diameter x 214 to 510 in Height (with proper change parts). Equipped with (4) roll, double seam, single seaming head, 16" high can lid magazine, 32" long lugged chain feed conveyor set on 7" centers, with 17" accumulation disc, hand crank adjustable and 3 Hp motor chain to sprocket drive with safety guarding. Mounted on 32" x 36" cast iron base frame with leveling screws. Currently set for 401 can.

Can size range: 307 to 603 in Diameter x 208 to 900 in Height (with proper change parts). Equipped with (4) roll, double seam, single seaming head, 6" high can lid magazine, 32" long lugged chain feed conveyor set on 11" centers, with 21" accumulation disc, hand crank adjustable and 3 Hp motor chain to sprocket drive with safety guarding and can counter. Mounted on 34" x 36" cast iron base frame with leveling screws. Currently set for 603 can.

Equipped with (4) roll, double seam, single seaming head, 32" high can lid magazine, 32" long lugged chain feed conveyor set on 6" centers, with 18" accumulation disc, hand crank adjustable and 3 Hp motor chain to sprocket drive with safety guarding. Mounted on 32" x 34" cast iron base frame with leveling screws. Currently set for 211 can.
