A Cooler Tunnel is more of a continuous cooling mechanism where the hot product is placed onto an endless traveling band or porous belt and is conveyed through the cooling box which has recirculating air blowing through the product. Upon exiting the belt the product is cooled to the requisite temperature and possible moisture.
Most of Frain’s cooling tunnel machinery include stainless steel construction and may require change parts to accommodate size and fill range.
Frain is fully staffed with engineers and technicians who can completely integrate cooling tunnel machines, retrofitting or reconditioning each machine to meet your exact specifications. We include in-house testing with every machine that ships, proof of concept and trial runs.
Marcos Machinery Model STKK24, 24 inch wide x 24 feet long convection cooling tunnel with number of product per hour – depending on materials and application. Equipped with stainless steel frame and cladding contact parts, 3 foot In feed table with adjustable approach edge, 24" wide x 24′ long pneopreme product belt, has its own motor drive, centering device with automatic belt tracking and tensioning, drive station with speed inverter and spring loaded scrapers for roller self cleaning. 8 section tunnel with hinged gas spring assit flip up covers, with temperature gauges and height up to 60mm or 2.36". Built in air cooling units one unit for each zone (1) complete 3.5 Kw cooling system with humidity control and cooling air is delivered in loops by forced cold air streams through twin blowers with (2) independent adjustable cooling zones, cooling compressor, air cooled condenser, with frequency inverter and evaporator. Control panel has blower and belt on / off and speed controls with e-stops. Mounted on heavy duty frame.

Sollich KT620S cooling table with jacketed bed for chilled glycol water with universal convection cooling from above and intensive cold water or glycol contact cooling below, Equipped with 24" wide x 300" long neoprene conveyor belt, total aperture of 3-1/8" high by 25" wide, usable aperture of 2-3/4" in height by 24" in width. Features (5) 59" long tunnel sections with air tight polyurethane hoods. Control panel has conveyor on / off switch and speed control dial with e-stop and AB Power Flex controller. Mounted on leveling legs. Product per hour – depending on materials, application and machine configuration. Requires external chiller.

FMC, 20" Wide x 144" Long, stainless steel, poly mesh belt, cooling tunnel. Equipped with a hooded top cover, 4" high product containment rails, and a 5" wide x 10" long discharge. Mounted on a hollow stainless steel frame with height adjustable legs. Requires air handling package. Air is blown in through bottom 16"ID port, passes through a filter box and exhausts through 16" ID port on top hood.

Stainless steel, cooling trough with number of product per hour – depending on materials and application. Tunnel has 29" wide x 7" high aperature x 187" long chamber with 264" long x 30" wide blue flex link product belt conveyor and (6) 48" long x 29" wide top flip up covers, temperatures probles and has product discharge chute to 148" long x 24" wide x 31" high end COP style cooling trough with circulation pump and 1) 10 ton chillers. Control panel has touch pad controller with start / e-stop controls. Both mounted on stainless steel base frames.

Cryo-Jet, air cooled, cooling tunnel temperatures and number of product per hour – dependant on materials, application and machine configuration. Equipped with a 24" wide x 142" long Neoprene conveyor belt and a 100" long cooling chamber with 30½" wide x 3¼" high aperture. Control panel with digital temperature controller, variable speed dial and on / off switches for condensing unit, coil fans, Cryo-Jet fans and belt. Mounted on (4) leg base frame with locking casters.
