Unscrambler Machines

Unscrambling, sorting, and aligning are all terms that cover the separation and orientation of regular or jumbled masses of containers into a single file for subsequent packaging operations. Whenever containers are fed into the machine in bulk or packages on the line are accumulated, an unscrambler is usually needed to direct the flow of containers or packages into the conveyor line. The items in an unscrambler are kept moving by the movement of the belts, chains, or disks on which they are riding, and they are guided onto the appropriate lanes of the conveyor by guide rails and diverter gates. The containers may be fed in a continuous flow that is controlled by the ability of the conveyor to accept the incoming containers, or the flow can be controlled by sensors and switches that detect the need for the containers to open and close diverter gates as they are needed.
