Filter Plate and Frame is a type of filter that uses a series of frames sandwiched between the filter media and this assembly is bolted together to form a sieve that allows the liquid to be filtered from the solids which are collected in the frame area. Plate and frame filters are very efficient filters and are batch operations requiring the unit to be opened when the frame area is full of solid product.
