Industrial metal detectors and commercial detection equipment are designed to detect small pieces of metal within a package or container. Metal detectors are a safety check put in place in a food processing or packaging line to assure that small pieces of metal do not get inserted into a package where they could harm a customer. Different types of metal detectors and detection equipment are designed to handle different products such as food. The differences in these industrial and commercial metal detectors are mostly related to the way incoming product is handled and passed through the metal detecting head. Tablet or capsule metal detectors utilize a chute to handle the fragile tablets and to prevent marring of the tablets. Liquid and powder metal detectors, also call flow through metal detectors use gravity to pass the powder or liquid through the metal detecting head without actually contacting the powder or liquid. Conveyor metal detectors use a conveyor to move products, containers, or packages through the metal detecting head. X-ray detection is a special kind safety check that is used as a substitute for metal detection.

Operating range 0 to 15 °C or 32 to 59 °F and 85 °F to 15 °C vortex cooling and humidity to 90% (non-condensing). Product sensitivities and weights depending on product, container and enviorment being run in. Equipped with 31½" wide x 96" long conveyor belt with signal reject and 31½ + / – 2" in feed and discharge height. Touch screen controller has operator interface and rectangular inspection window, 15 multilayer algorithms, event, batch, shift with multi-level password access and data log capable with x-ray key on, off, switch and e-stop controls and is USB, Ethernet and Enet capable and has multiple e-stop push buttons.. Mounted on height adjustable (6) leg stainless steel frame.
