Speed to Market

Speed to market was the number one concern of consumer product company CEOs in a recent Vital Signs survey.

Why Speed to Market Is Important: The first product to market enjoys a larger market share and longer lifecycle. This of course generates more revenue and growth for the company. It also improves brand recognition and creates the image of leadership in the category.

How to get the Packaging and Processing Machine You Need FAST!

This is the story of two Frain customers: Joe and Bob. Both called Frain with descriptions of what they thought they needed. Bob wanted to get a quote quickly so he could get back to his team. Our engineers did their best to interpret what he needed even though his information was incomplete.

Joe took our suggestion and sent us a sample of his product so that we could select the best equipment for his project. He also set up a conference calls with all the members of his team so that we could better understand their priorities.

Bob got a quote based on the information he supplied and the price that fit that design. Joe’s team spent a little more time and found that Frain has numerous ways of accommodating your project, budget, and risk tolerance.

You can rent for a variable monthly payment, return the machinery any time to have all payments stop, or we can spread purchase payments out to meet your cashflow needs. In the end, we all came out with a plan and cost that made everyone very happy. Sometimes when we go a little slower we get to the best result faster.

Advantages of a Fully Integrated Bagging System

If you need to put multiple products into a bag with precise measurement of each product, this is the filling line for you.

The various products are delivered to the 18 head scales where they are accurately weighed before being sent to the vertical form fill and seal machine below. The vertical form, fill and seal machine forms, fills and seals each package at the rate of 40 per minute. That is 16,000 packages per 8 hour shift.

This is just one of the hundreds of successful projects Frain has completed in a matter of weeks. Click below to see more customer success stories.

Finding the Right Machine: Liquid Filling Machines

The importance of selecting the right machine for your packaging application can not be overstated. Liquid filling machines are a good example.

If you want all of your containers to be filled to a specific level, then only an over flow type filler can provide a consistent fill level in all containers. Depending on multiple variables the format of the overflow filler could be gravity, pressure or vacuum.

The speed of the filler is also determined by the number of valves, the fill time and other internal factors. The skill level of your operators and maintenance people is also of critical importance.

Frain has over 200 liquid fillers in stock. Give us a call. Our engineers can select the right one for your packaging application.

Speed to Market and Flex Financing Helps Customer with Big Box Chain Order

How to overcome the Speed to Market issue
How to launch 5x more products

A customer just received an order from a big box chain that would require a large carton. They needed to be in production in sixty days but did not have a cartoner that could run the large size carton.

They did not have the budget or time to order a new machine nor did they have the time or manpower available to refurbish and set up a used machine purchased from a dealer or auction.

After receiving the customer’s samples, Frain was able to set up one of our new or nearly new cartoners, conduct the factory acceptance test and ship it to the customer in six weeks.

Not knowing how strong reorders will be, the customer elected to use Frain’s “pay as you go” program that allowed them to pay a small monthly fee while using the cartoner. They then had the option of returning the machine, trading it for a different machine or keeping it.
