Single Motion Machines

Single motion kettles are designed with a single motion agitator to mix the product. The type of agitator designed into a single motion kettle varies based on the application. Single motion kettle can be designed with side scrape or side sweep agitation.

Side scrape agitation has paddles or scrapers attached to a form shaped like an anchor that matches the size and shape of the kettle. The scrapers contact the inside of the kettle and will scrape the product off from the inner surface of the kettle. Side scrape agitation prevents product from seizing to the inside of the kettle and allows for more uniform cooking and processing of the entire batch. Paddles for side scrape agitation are normally made from plastic or brass.
