An attrition mill is essentially a mill that reduces materials by attrition rubbing. This can be with a single stationary plate and on rotating plate with tight gaps to reduce the particles down to size until they will pass through the mill. A double mill uses two counter rotating plates to achieve the required reduction. Attrition mills can be used for either dry or wet materials depending on the materials of construction.
