Cottoner equipment is designed to insert cotton into the neck of a container. Cottoners are most often used in the packaging of pharmaceutical pills or tablets, or in the packaging of food supplement pills or tablets. Cottoners can be either inline or rotary. Inline cottoners use a conveyor to index the container underneath the cotton inserting head.
Inline cottoners have the simplest and most versatile operation but are also limited in speed. Rotary cottoners use a rotary disc to index containers underneath multiple cotton inserting heads. Rotary cottoners are more specific to container size, but are capable of higher speeds when compared to inline cottoners.
Lakso, Model 300, Automatic, inline, stainless steel, twin head, cotton inserter. Rated from 25 to 300 containers per minute – depending on materials, application and machine configuration. Maximum cotton weight range of: 26 grams per yard with cut off length range of: 2½" to 7" and capable of (1) or (2) insertions per bottle (½ speed), bottle diameter of 38mm to 115mm and bottle height 41mm to 228mm. Equipped with 3½" wide x 132" long conveyor and dual cotton inserter heads with safety door guarding. Control panel has machine on / off and variable speed controls, with e-stop and status light bar. Mounted on stainless steel height adjustable frame.

Lakso Model 300, Fully automatic, twin head, cotton inserter rated from 50 to 300 containers per minute – depending on materials and application. Has maximum cotton weight range of 26 grams per yard with cut length range of 2 1/2" to 7".and is capable of 1 to 2 insertions per bottle (at 1/2 speed). Cotton size range: 2" to 7" in Length. Material weight: up to 26 grams per yard. Bottle Diameter range: 38mm to 115mm Bottle height range: 41mm to 228mm (with proper change parts). Equipped with 98" Long x 3¼" Wide delrin belt, adjustable guide rails, worm screw container indexing and is container height adjustable, with inverted "U" cotton inserter and knife cut-off. No cotton sensor eyes and air reject. Control panel has A/B PLC controller with touch screen HMI, statis light bar and e-stop. Mounted on stainless steel frame with safety guarding and leveling legs.

Lakso Model 450, automatic, inline, stainless steel, twin head, cotton inserter. Maximum cotton weight of 26 grams per yard, cut off length of 2" to 7". Equipped with a 4½" wide x 72" long conveyor with 36" long timing screw. Push-button adjustable head and height, cotton feed detection, bottle jam detection and reject station. Control panel with AB controller, touch pad controls, start, stop, e-stop push button controls and status light bar. Rated from 50 to 300 containers per minute – depending materials, application and machine configuration. Capable of one or two insertions per bottle – two insertions reduces speed capabilities. Mounted on stainless steel height adjustable base frame.
