A case set-up (Tray) is designed to form a tray from a pre-scored carton blank. The erected tray is kept together using either glue or the tray??s own flaps tucked into one another. Trays are used for packaging groups of cans and other containers for shipment and distribution. Trays have solid bottoms and flaps that are folded up and fastened to form the sides. The sides are frequently but not necessarily lower than the height of the containers. Loaded trays are frequently over wrapped with a stretch or shrink film to hold the individual containers or products in place and provide protection. Trays can be received from the converter as knocked down blanks and a tray former in or near the packaging line can form the trays. A tray set-up machine or tray former forms a tray from scored paperboard, chipboard, or corrugated that is folded flat, called a blank. The tray sides are sealed either by using glue or by tucking portions of the flaps, called tucks, into other tray flaps. Tray formers form trays based on the size of the tooling that is in the machine. The male portion of the tooling pushes the flat blank through the female portion of the tooling to form the tray. Tooling needs to be changed on a tray former to accommodate different size trays. (Some newer tray formers have tooling that is adjustable for trays sizes within a set size range.) Tray formers can be used to form many different kinds of trays including hooded trays or hooded cartons, six-corner trays, and laminated corner trays.

Bradman Lake Model H2S-60, Automatic, (2) head stainless steel tray former. Rated up to 60 cycles per minute each head with number of trays – depending on materials, application and machine configuration. Blank tray size up to 20.8" in Length; 40" in Width; 3/4" to 6.6" in Height. Equipped with (2) blank tray magazines and has reciprocating suction cup vacuum pick-in-places, (2) mechanical 6" x 6" tray forming heads and seal area with Lexan interlock safety doors. Control panel with has left and right feed on / off switches, speed control dial and power on and e-stop push buttons with strokes per minute readout and statis light bar. Mounted on stainless steel frame with height adjustable leveling legs.

Adco Model AFH-40-EC, Tab-Lock Top-Load carton or tray former rated from 5 to 40 strokes per minute with number of cartons or trays – depending on materials and application. Erected carton or tray size range: 5-1/2" to 11" in length; 1" to 4" in Depth. Equipped with blank carton or tray magazine, single head (one carton or tray per stroke) and has 48" long single chain flighted take away conveyor set on 16" centers. Control panel has start, stop, e-stop push button controls. Mounted (4) leg mild steel frame with white powder coat paint and casters with height adjustable leveling legs.

Adco Model CF1200-30-SS, Top load, tuck tray former, rated from 25 to 120 trays per minute – depending on materials, application and machines configuration. All stainless steel construction. Lay flat size range of: 7" to 30" in length and 7" to 26" in width and Carton size range of: 3" to 17" in length, 3" to 8" in width, 0.75" to 4.5" in depth. Equipped with dual 42" long blank tray magazines and has recipicating suction cup pick n place, dual forming heads with 60" long lugged discharge conveyor set on 24" centers. Control panel has A/B controller with panel view controls and start, stop, e-stop push buttons with statis light bar. Mounted on heavy duty stainless steel frame with casters and leveling legs with interlock safety door guarding.

Flexible packer for nearly any product size and shape including multi-flavor and sleeved products and multi-head configurations. Equipped with 30" long flat pad magazine and has single head (3) suction cup, recipercating pic place, 92" long x 23" wide tray conveyor with filght bars set on 16" centers. 72" long x 36" wide flexlink with (4) lanes product conveyor, with dual (2) axis (12) suction cup each, pick and place product loading arms which picks from product conveyor to load the flat blank. Swing arm controller with start, stop, reset and e-stop push buttons with statis light bar. Mounted on heavy duty stainless steel frame with interlock safety guarding.

Kliklock, Model ASU4WS, automatic, stainless steel, single head, tray forming hot melt glue sealing machine. Tray size range: 5" to 16" in Length; 4" to 10" in Width; 1" to 4" in Depth. Equipped with 18" long blank tray magazine, suction cup reciprocating pic n place, single head ram with Norden hot melt gue system, minor flap and major flap folding plows and hooded seal area with lift-up access door. Control panel has start / stop / e-stop push button controls. Mounted on heavy duty base frame.Rates dependent on materials, application and machine configuration.

Delkor Model TFM-1201, automatic, single head, tray former. Tray size range: 38" maximum blank width and 30" blank length. Equipped with 40" long blank tray magazine, vacuum suction cup recipicating pick-in-place, single mechanical tray forming head, Nordson ProBlue hot melt glue system and hooded seal area with lexan lift-up interlock access safety door. Control panel has A/B controller and A/B touch pad controls, with start, stop cycle, reset, e-stop push buttons and statis light bar. Mounted on heavy duty frame. Speed dependent on materials, application and machine configuration.

SWF, Model 1D5A, Automatic, tray former, hot melt glue sealer. Rated from 12 to 35 cases per minute – depending on material and application. Tray size range: 9¼" to 31-7/8" in Length; 8" to 20" in Width; 4" to16" in Height. Equipped with 18" long blank case magazine, (3) suction cup vacuum pic n place, single friction feed wheel, internal flange closer, Nordson hot melt glue system with pattern controller and integrated vacuum system. Control panel has run / jog, manual / auto and vacuum on / off switches with start / e-stop buttons. Mounted on heavy duty frame with cage style safety guarding.

Bliss size range: 9-1/4" to 31-7/8" in Length x 8" to 20" in Width x 4" to 16" in Height. Equipped with 24" long blank tray magazine, 6-cup cam operated vacuum pick and place, (2) Nordson Series TG09 glue systems and has 25" discharge height. Mounted on (4) leg frame.
