Stainless steel ribbon powder blenders or mixers have been the most widely used mixers for both dry powders and incorporating some liquids into a dry mixture. Stainless steel ribbon powder mixers can handle a wide variety of product and sizes for making good mixtures. Stainless steel ribbon powder mixers usually are the slowest type of mixers to achieve the required mixture but they do not generate high heat and can actually unmix materials if left in the mixing mode for too long a period. The materials of construction can be carbon steel with total dry mixes and non-corrosive materials to all stainless steel and other specialty steels for maintaining the integrity of the mixer.
