Positive displacement liquid filler are designed to use either a piston or pump to displace the proper volume of product into a container or bottle. Positive displacement fillers can also be used to fill pastes, up to a certain viscosity, into a container.
Positive displacement fillers that use pumps rely on the known quantity of product displaced by one revolution (or fraction thereof) of the pump to dispense the proper amount of product into a container. To reach a certain fill volume, the pump is rotated the proper number of times to reach that volume.
Positive displacement fillers that use pistons to fill the proper volume of product into a container rely on knowing the volume of the piston. A piston filler is designed so that the piston draws back within the cylinder (increasing the volume of the cylinder); product is drawn into the cylinder to fill the empty space (volume). A rotary drum valve is then rotated to change the connection of the cylinder from the product tank to the fill nozzle. The piston is then pushed into the cylinder reducing the volume in the cylinder and pushing product out through the fill nozzle. The rotary drum valve then rotates again to connect the cylinder to the product tank preparing for the next fill. The volume of the fill can be adjusted by changing the amount of draw on the piston, which changes the amount of volume in the cylinder once the piston is drawn back.
Filamatic, Model DAB-16-4, automatic, inline, 8 head piston filler. Rated from 3 to18 cycles per minute with number of container – depending on materials and application. Stainless sreel contact parts. Fill range of: 60cc to 520cc with proper change parts. Equipped with 3¼" wide x 112" long delrin container conveyor currently set with (8) FKS 130cc pistons with fill accuracies of ± 0.5%, pneumatic gate indexing, (3/8)" OD diving nozzles and Control panel with on / off switch, strokes per cycle selection and variable speed dial. Mounted on heavy duty base frame.

Filamatic, Model VLD, 4 head inline piston filler. Rated from 12 to 60 bottles per minute with a fill range of 60ml to 520ml with proper change parts – depending on materials, application and machine configuration. Equipped with 96" long by 3¼" wide Delrin conveyor, star wheel indexing, adjustable guide rails, (4) 520cc pistons and (4) (5/8)" OD diving nozzles with positive cut off mounted on a 16" long slide bar. Control panel with Omron PLC and push button start / stop / reset / e-stop controls. Mounted on base frame with leveling legs.

Fill range of: 60cc to 520cc with proper change parts and is equipped with (2) FKS 130cc pistons with fill accuracies of ± 0.5%, pneumatic gate indexing, 7/16" OD diving nozzles and a 3¼" wide x 102" long delrin conveyor. Control panel with on / off switch and variable speed dial.Mounted base frame with casters and leveling legs.

Kaps All, Model VOL-32-4, Automatic, stainless steel, 4 head piston filler, with number of containers per minute – depending on materials and application Equipped with 4½" wide x 145" long Delran container conveyor belt with pneumatic gate indexing, 32" long x 14" wide x 20" deep product hopper, (4) 36oz. pistons, with ¾"OD diving nozzles. Control panel has A/B controller with push button start / stop, on / off and multi-stroke selection switches and conveyor speed control dial. Mounted heavy duty frame with casters.

Mounted on mild steel base frame with casters and leveling legs.

Rated from 1 to 10 gallons per minute with a fill range of 1 oz to 2.5 gallon – depending on materials, application and machine configuration. Equipped with (2) Waukesha, Model 15, positive displacement filling pumps, (2) fill nozzels, 6" wide x 126" long Delrin table top conveyor with variable speed control, adjustable guide rails and pneumatic indexing. Controlled by the Servo/Fill Modular unit with touch pad controls and LCD display. Mounted on multi-leg frame with casters and leveling legs.

MRM Elgin, Model RPF-4, stainless steel, left to right, four head rotary piston filler. Container size: up to 9 in Diameter; Height is project dependent. Equipped with 80" long x 4-1/2" wide Delran conveyor, screw to star wheel in feed and discharge. 24" diameter turret, four 7-1/2" x 5-1/2" container pedestals, four 3" ID x 9" Long pistons and 3/8" OD x 5-3/4" long stainless steel nozzles set on 15" centers. additionally features, bottom up fill and no container / no fill. Cozzoli, Model VR520Q, 4 head, stainless steel intermmitent motion, inline piston filler. Rated from 10 to 30 cycles per minute with number of product – depending on materials and application. Maximum fill 120cc with proper change parts, container size range: (7/8)" to 3" in Diameter; up to 8½" in Height. Equipped with a 60" long x 3¼" wide Delrin container conveyor with adjustable guide rails and DC speed controller. Features all stainless steel contact parts, (4) 66cc pistons and (4) 6mm OD diving nozzles.

Filamatic Model CVK-500 12 head, high speed in line, automatic piston filler for free flowing, semi viscous and viscous product rated from 24 to 120 containers per minute – depending on materials and application. Fill volume: 0.10cc to 1300cc single stroke (with proper change parts) Currently set with 30cc pistons. Equipped with 136" long x 3-1/4" wide plastic delran conveyor with star wheel indexing, currently set with (12) 30cc pistons, set on 3-1/2" centers. Control panel has filler, conveyor and hesitation speed controls with start, stop and e-stop push buttons. Mounted on stainless steel base frame with height adjustable legs.
