The process for vertical paste type mixers are usually a batch operation where materials are fed into the mixer along with appropriate liquids and allowed to mix for the consistency required for making the products.
Materials are discharged out of the bottom of the mixer and pumps are used to facilitate removal of this normally stiff products. There are also vertical paste mixers that can be used in a continuous manner to enable dry powders to be metered into the mixer and the appropriate liquids are also metered into the mixer to achieve the required consistency.
Goodway, Model VBM 2000, 304 stainless steel, slurry mixer and transfer system. Rated to 2,000 lb batches with 4 to 9 minutes mix times per batch – depending on materials, application and machine configuration. Equipped with a 44" ID x 52" straight wall stainless steel mixing tank (300 gallons) with half flip up bolt down cover, two stationary stator assemblies one each side and inner rotating mix blades with bottom platform mounted ___ Hp main motor drive and ___ hp secondary motor drive for slow speed mixing while pumping. Waukesha Model 130 postive displacemet transfer pump with 3½"OD / 3"ID seated bevel style inlet/outlet ports with 10" ground clearance and 10 Hp motor drive with a 10:1 ratio gearbox for a discharge rate of 45 gpm. Control panel with push button start / stop for mixer and pump, timer dials for mixer and pump and product valve open / close switch. Mounted on a 96" long x 60" wide stainless steel platform.

Goodway Model 1000 lb or 120 gallon capacity, stainless steel, slurry mixer and transfer system, with number of pound or gallons of product per hour – depending on materials and application. Equipped with 36" OD x 38 Deep, stainless steel, single wall, flat top mixing tank with 2 piece flip top, quick release clamps bolt down cover, with dry / liquid inlet ports. (8) 17" long x 3" wide x 1/2" thick rotating single motion mixing blades and (4) 17" long x 3" wide x 1/2" thick stationary fixed blades each side.. Flat bottom has bottom Flat bottom has bottom tank support assembly with heavy duty gear reducer and 4-1/2" OD pump out discharge port with a Waukeshaw Model 60 PD pump has 3" OD / 2-1/2" ID threaded in/outlet ports. Control panel has start, stop, e-stop push button controls with cycle counter. Mounted on 75" long x 48" wide platform plate base stand. Designed for cake or other batters or to prepare a uniform unaerated premix of ingredients for use with a continous mixer.

Stainless steel, 50 gallon, bottom driven deaerator. Equipped with a bolt down cover with (2) 4" diameter sight glasses, 30" diameter x 24" deep vessel, 20" diameter spinning disc powered by a 7½ hp drive, 2½" OD / 2" ID product charge and 7½" OD / 5¾" ID bottom discharge.

1 gallon, double planetary mixer with working capacity of 3/4 gallons (3 liters) & full holding capacity of 1 gallon (3.8 liters). All wetted parts are hastelloy C with #4 finish and external parts 316 S/S. Can with temperature probe, jacket rated at 100 psi designed for full vacuum with three 3" diameter combination light sight port and charge ports and quick release sanitary clamps and electric inter-lock mounted on railing system to move bowls in & out to hydraulic press, hydraulic head and pressure gauge, vertical lift with stirrers & shafts (quick disconnect pins on stirrer shafts diagonally positioned to aid in product movement and circulation). 1 1/4" cove-plug side bottom discharge. All digital control panel equipped with ABB variable speed drive w/digital frequency display, mix motor rpm, temp sensor, dual speed slow & fast, and torque meter. UL tagged. Unit mounted on S/S base.

125 gal, dual motion vertical pony mixer with a maximum capacity of 137 gallons and working capacity of 125 gallons. Has a final agitator rpm of 35, bowl 21 rpm. Unit is equipped w/304 stainless steel manual lift cover and agitator. Bowl measures 40" X 40" X 31"H and is constructed of 304 stainless steel, bowl.
