There are many different names that are used to describe particle size reduction: milling, grinding, granulating, comminuting, etc. Milling systems can size reduce wet or dry powders. Their are variable speed drives that permit low speed screening and high speed impacting with one milling system. A typical milling system consists of an inlet chamber with a rotor screen and an outlet. The particle size depends upon the speed of the rotor, rotor type, screen hole size and the feed rate of the product. High shear granulation turns powders into dense granules for tableting or coating. Powders are added to a mixing bowl. A large impeller spins the powders into a vortex. A chopper tool shears the granules and removes the air. The granulated product is dried in the mixing bowl or fluid bed dryer.

Control panel has estop push button control. Mounted on (4) leg stainless steel frame with locking casters. Mounted on stainless steel (4) leg base frame.

Product discharge is 15” long x 13” wide with 35” floor clearance. Mounted on (4) leg frame with casters.

Mounted on (4) leg frame with locking casters.The in-wall and on-wall configurations of the VFS-D6A are designed to contain the drive motors in a separate room or technical area. Equipped with agitated, vertical screw feed product hopper with 1-1/2" OD product feed screw driven by variable speed motor drive, 1.5" L x 8" OD compaction rollers and hammer mill with (16) rotary knife blades for in air impact for harder compacts, and reduction screen (change part per application).
