Heat exchangers come in a wide range of sizes. They can be plate heat exchangers, tubular heat exchangers designed for heating and cooling viscous products. Â Compact and heavy-duty plate heat exchangers offer improved heat transfer, lower plate inventory requirements and a wide range of sizes. Scraped surface heat exchangers can be employed in continuous, closed processing: cooking, cooling, mixing, gelling, heating, slush freezing, crystallizing, plasticizing and aseptic processes.The Shell and Tube (u-tube) is one of the most common type of heat exchanger. It contains a number of parallel utubes inside a shell. Shell Tube heat exchangers are used when a process requires large amounts of fluid to be heated or cooled. Due to their design, shell tube heat exchangers offer a large heat transfer area and provide high heat transfer efficiency.
Chester Jensen, Model B-4-OT4-52, Open type instant chiller and heat exchanger with amount of product per hour – depending on materials and application. All stainless steel, open type, single pass chiller has (4) short gas flow cooling sections with (32) 45-1/8" x 42-1/2" and 6.75 gallon internal volume 42.75 sq ft cooling area and is capable of bringing product medium down to 33 Deg F in a single pass with all capacity and tonnage ratings based on the use of 26°F, 28°F or 30°F full-flooded or liquid recirculated (4:1) ammonia and will provide sanitary means to instanly, continously and safely chill water, brine, glycols and other fluid media to 1°F of their freezing point R404a refrigerant design ambient 95°F. Standard rotary abrasive resistant chrome oxide static seal. Control panel has production guages with speed dial power on, start, stop and jog push buttons. Last ran cooling media.
Votator, Model 1C312L, stainless steel, continuous scrape surface heat exchanger. Equipped with 12" long x 3" ID product cylinder, (2) scraper blades, ¾ ft² of heat transfer area, (2) ½" NPT product connections and (2) ¾" NPT media connections. Powered by a 2 hp drive with a variable speed gearbox.

Ten 22′ long hair pinned sections eight dual lower tube sections, and two upper single tube sections with 50mm outside, and 25mm inside tube dimensions, with all sanitary fittings. Smooth tube construction has no cracks, no cavities, no tangential contact points, no gasket, or "O" ring sealing. Designed for heating, cooling, and pasteurization of products with high viscosity, that can contain particulates up to 8mm, and is mounted on a common base stand.

Alfa Laval, Model 6 x 9 Contherm, Vertical, (3) concentered, scrape surface heat exchanger system has (3) 72" x 9" stainless steel tubes, with amount of product per hour each tube – depending on materials and application. Equipped with 9 ft² of heat transfer area each tube, working temperature range of -30 to +300 Deg F, with top mounted motor drives and 2-1/2"OD / 1-3/4" ID product inlet and outlet ports each cylinder. Main top mounted control panel with individual controllers for each tube has motor, speed and temperature start, stop controls with readout and CIP system controller with start, stop and e-stop controls. Each mounted on individual pedistal style stainless steel stands. Product enters the cylinder through the lower port and flows upwards through cylinder simultaneously and media travels in a countercurrent flow through the narrow channel and rotating blades remove product from cylinder wall to ensure uniform heat transfer to the product and is ideal for food products as well as other applications.
